Briefing

The story

The path is open.

Against the Zone's fury, the STALKERS of the Vulture Syndicate succeeded. One of the Ecologists’ chemical dispersion devices was successfully deployed, forcing back the corruption that had swallowed the route to the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. But victory was incomplete. The Monolith found the second device and silenced it before it could be activated.

One path remains. Narrow. Temporary. Closing.

Beyond it stands the Power Plant, and within its shadow waits the Monolith. For years their fanatics have bled and died to keep outsiders from reaching their sacred ground. Now, for the first time, the STALKERS have broken through. No distant patrols. No border skirmishes. No more probing at the edges of Monolith territory. The STALKERS are going into their home, and the Monolith is prepared.

But the Zone is already healing, faster than the Ecologists predicted. Radiation creeps back across the route. Anomalies stir where the chemicals once forced them dormant. The way behind is closing, and every crate of ammunition, every bandage and every mouthful of clean water may be impossible to replace.

No endless supply line. No easy retreat.

This is no longer about fortune and name-making.

This is survival of the fittest.

Ahead lies the Power Plant.

Behind them, the Zone closes its jaws.

The Monolith is waiting.

How far are you willing to go to survive?
