DESCRIPTION:The Congo 1969 – The Peoples Republic pt1 ‘Diamonds’\nVenue: Gunman AIrsoft\, Eversley Alpha (Hampshire)\nDate: 26th & 27th April 2025\nPrice: £75 – tickets are limited and must be secured by paying a £35 non-refundable deposit below.\n£40 balance due on arrival.\n\nLocation. Kelle\, Kakamoeka District\, Congo.\nIts 1969 and the Peoples Republic of the Congo has finally achieved independence from its foreign masters and taken the path of a Marxist-Leninist social State.  Self-declared and defiant\, the new regime ‘The Congolese Party’ must now work towards stabilizing the 15 ethnics groups that make up its people and begin the hard work of rebuilding.  The 5 year war of 1960-1965 with her formal Belgium Imperialists has given the Congo state a dented relationship with Europe\, but has vital recourses such as Copper\, Gold and Diamonds that the western countries desire.  Many of these concerns are still controlled by French and Belgium independent mining syndicates who have agreed or bought their ability to continue operating with blood money. \n\n1972\nOur story follows a small privately controlled Diamond mining concern called Universal Mining Corporation (UMC).  Being one of these once colonial and now independent syndicates\, it has far more control over is security and governorship.  Large payments/donations are made to the Republic\, who lacks the expertise to continue the extractions but need the resources. \n  \nSecurity of UMC is provided by Denard Private Army. Bob Denard is an ex-patriot French Commando and has served in the Congo for many years and knows the people. \n  \nA US CIA anti-communists unit has been deployed in near by Gabon and have crossed the border and entered the Kakamoeka District on a black ops to arrest and extract a number of Congolese Communist ‘King Makers’ who have also been involved in other Global communist uprisings.  CIA intelligence has indicated that at some point over the next few days\, these targets will be making a visit to the UMC concern and is a prime opportunity for a snatch. \n  \nMeanwhile\, policing the surrounding district with a firm hand is the Military arm of President Ngouabi’s Congolese Army.  Many of the field commanders are keeping a very uneasy peace with the syndicates and at times\, there have been small\, violent exchanges between them and the Syndicate security.   However\, there is unrest in the party and at this time\, these field commanders are taking any opportunity to make it uncountable and difficult. \n\nThe Sides:\n15 x UMC Belgium Commandos (Belgium uniform)\n15 x US 5th Special Forces Group (SFG) (Any US period correct uniform.\n20 x Congolese Army (Triski shirt\, 58 pattern webbing OD/GreenTrousers\, Red Beret)\nWe can help out with all of these if you have no kit suitable!!  Especially Congolese!!! \n  \nThis is a full Filmsim game with an open-end scenario.
